Hi all, I'm starting a new fishing league, this one is going to be different from all the rest(I hope). Right know we are working on a ice fishing league. We are going to fish 6 league ---nights,days or mornings. We are going to select a specific species each week and schedule our start time depending on the species we are going after. we are also going to do 2 open tournaments sometime during the Ice season. But I would like to run this year long. Having two seasons----A hardwater season and a openwater season. Keep the season separate but also keep them together. What I mean here is. You can fish either the openwater season or the Hardwater season, or you can fish both. Everything is still in the works so don't ask how I'm doing anything. First I'm going to get the hardwater portion going.
Hi Robbo, Welcome to Multispecies. Wow sounds like you are in the fun part. Very cool. We have talked about doing an ice fishing league too. But never got to it. Maybe soon. We are talking about getting out once a month all year long and just get together for some fishing.
Just let us know if you need any help, we'ld be more than happy to do what we can.
doug,
I talked with you on the phone, looking for info on setting up a website. Something I can bring to our meeting tomorrow .
Thank you
Terry R.
Hi Terry,
I'll send it via email, that way you can print it and bring it with. But we can add any fishing league that needs a website for free. We can add it here. Add some pages, forums (public and members-only) and a photo gallery that is all yours and FREE. We just want to get people out fishing and we'll do what we can to help anyone organizing one.
For fishing leagues that want something a little different, we also have www.fishingleagues.com and you could be added there. We do list all of our fishing leagues either way. So we can handle any type of fishing league and will. Adding you to one of these sites is FREE. We want to get anglers connected with each other.
If you look in any search engine for "multispecies", "multispecies fishing" or "fishing leagues", we're number one. So it's easy for your friends and family to see what you're doing and to watch the standings too. It could help other anglers find you too, possibly some new members.
For a new website, we would have to purchase a domain name, a new hosting space, etc. So that costs, but Fishing Webmaster does have a special rate for fishing leagues, so that will be in the email. That requires more work and some costs for you and us, but is doable.
We hope you join the fun and fishing.
Thanks, Doug
