Sure was a little hot on the lake this evening.  WCFC took to the waters of Granite Lake this evening. 3 boats were able to bring back there limit of Bass. Two teams were able to get there limit of bass fairly early and used the rest of the evening trying to gain some points looking for Pike.  But, the pike were just not willing to bite. So the Liprippers brought there limit of Bass to the dock and finished in 2nd place with 17 pts. Chris and Andy brought there limit in and finished the night in 3rd with 14 pts.  I would have to believe Spencer and Mitch used the time to do some sizing up on there Bass. They were able to come back with a nice limit of bass that earned them another 1st place finish with 21 pts.  The Bass they brought in measured 16",16", 3@17", and a nice 18". I'll have to double check, but that should be a WCFC record limit of Bass of 101".

Nice job Spencer and Mitch!

Next Week- Eagle Lake.     If any knows anything about this lake let me know--- Never seen the lake before.

Weekly Report for Eagle Lake-- Well it was a nice night to be on the lake, but nobody bothered to tell the fish that. I prefished the lake on Sunday and was able to come up with a decent limit of bass in a 3 hr period.  But, Wed, the fish just wouldn't bite.

The Liprippers, or I should say, Glenn of the Liprippers, was able to land 3 bass to give them first place for the evening. He was able to haul in a nice 19" largemouth. (Here it is hope the picture shows)

The rest of the field stayed pretty close.  Spencer and Mitch, came in with 4 bass, for a total of 9 pts. Matt and John followed them with 3 bass for 8 pts.

Next week should produce some higher pts as we will be on Clearwater Lake. Remember, we will also be fishing Clearwater for a tournament that following Sat.  So, you can call this a prefishing event.  If you not signed up for the Clearwater Tournament, Better do so soon, I may be filled up soon.  I do have a special guest signed up for the event, hope he can make it.

Terry

I will update the season totals soon, things have been busy for me lately.

We fished Clearwater Lake, Wed. night for league and Sat. for our last open tournament of the season. Heres a pic before we take off sat. morning:

Fishing report:   There were good numbers of fish caught, but it was tough getting fish big enough to register.  Wed. night ended with a tie between the Team of Matt and John and The Liprippers.  Matt and John were able to find some Bass to come to the landing with 8 pts. While the Liprippers found the Pike for their 8 pts.

Saturday's tournament was a little different.  A majority of the boats were able to find Bass.  Seems the 7'-8' FOW was the norm for the location, quite a few different technigues were used.

Again Matt and John were able to come back to the landing with a nice mixed bag of Fish. They ended the day with a limit of Bass. Fished ranged from 13"-to a nice fat 17.5", also in there bag was a 22" Pike and a walleye(But was short to measure).  The "guest" team of  Martindales (Father and Son) were also able to bring in a limit of bass. There limit of fish ranged from 12"-17".

The season is quickly coming to a end, only three events remain, plus the season ending Club Championship to ultimate decide our winner.

The race down the stretch is going to be close.  Matt and John are holding a narrow lead over Chris and Andy. With The Liprippers still in contention, but needing some help and breaks to move closer.  Spencer and Mitch, who started the season late, are making a strong showing each night,  could figure into the top 4, by season end.

Next Event:  Pleasant Lake  5:30 start
