Team Liprippers fished in the BJ's Bait Northern Tournament.

Fishing was really good for the start of the tournament. We got started at 8am and worked one of our favorite spots with Spinner Baits.   First 3 casts I  landed 2 Pike.  One of which just made the 23" limit.  By 9am we had 2 in the livewell with the addition of a 26.5" Pike.  That is where we stood for the rest of the day.  We were catching alot of fish, just cold get them to measure up.

1st Place for the day was 19.81 lbs.   biggest fish  for the day was 11.51.

out of 100 boats Glen and I  finished with 6.5 lbs probably finished somewhere betwen 20th and 30th.   Rain came right after weigh-in ended so we didn't stick around to see final places posted.

WCFC will be doing a multispecies  mini-tourney on Lake Francis  Sept 14  3pm-6pm

Fished a few different lakes this week-

Lake Francis-  Found some nice bass and a few pike up in shallow water-  2-4 FOW, Catching them on Spinner Baits. I was using a little bit bigger spinner baits, than my partner. My numbers weren't as good has his, but the size was a little bigger.

Clearwater Lake- Using the same techniques brought us the same results, but just the opposite species.  We caught good numbers of Pike, but were low on Bass.

Pelican Lake- Fished a event yesterday on Pelican Lake.  Fish were hitting spinner baits in some areas in the morning, but wouldn't hit them in the afternoon.  Best bait for us was a Red and White daredevil in 2-4 FOW.  Pelican Lake open water fishing will becoming to a end when the Duck Hunting season open, which I beleive is next weekend.

I will be out on Collinwood today. Hopefully we will be able to find them out there.

note:  Was in getting my car worked on the other day- Talked to the AutoBody Manager- They are starting to get Auto's in for repair, from car/deer crashes.  So start watching out for deer as they are starting to move.
