We used to have a cabin on Vermilion near Tower. The lake is awesome in the fact that you can find any kind of structure you want. When I fish it this time of year, it's usually for walleye and we mainly use crawler harnesses. You can catch a lot of fish, but sometimes you have to catch a lot to get your keepers outside of the slot. That weekly fishing deal that Spring Bay Resort has sounds like a great deal!

Sounds like a great deal and a fun trip!  Hope you catch some good fish.  I usually try to head that way in Oct to chase some ski's.  Mainly trolling because the weather is usually a little crisp by then.  I don't get up that way to fish for smallies.  But the the times I did, we used tubes and jig-n-pigs trying to imitate the zillions of crawfish in there.  Some of those big pigs just gorge themselves on crayfish and they just stink.  It's like they take on the smell of those rusty crawfish.  Maybe it was just me, but they did have an odor, weird.

I see you play WOW, what server you on?  I'm on shattered hand.

ill keep that in mind i have only fished for smallies once before and that was because i was pike fishing and started to catch smallies and boy were they fun. so any help would be great on what to use because as of right now was only going to use crawfish cranks.
