Long story short, I have a cracked block and I'm looking at options that aren't too incredibly expensive.

Option 1 - New boat, motor, trailer - Not an option right now!

Option 2 - Find a newer 75-90 horse

Option 3 - Does anyone know of any used blocks out there? Maybe find an older evinrude with a messed up lower unit? Al, what's that online place for parts?

For now, you'll see us on the water going really slow using a kicker. I guess we'll just be trolling everywhere we go!

Lots of fish near each landing, plus they like to be trolled.

I think a new motor or the boat, motor and trailer is a better option.  Isn't it Karl's turn to buy a boat??  And yours to bring the beer?\

You know, Doug, I think it IS Karl's turn to buy a boat. I'd be happy to buy beer for the whole season if he did!

Have you talked to the evinrude mechanic guy over in superior?  I always seem to forget his name.  All he works on is Johnson/Evinrudes and rebuilds engines.  Maybe he'll take some off a used one for trading in yours, don't know.  He's got a big garage in one of the industrial parks in Superior, near the perkins by Barker's Island and has a ton of parts. Really nice guy and knows his stuff.

I believe his name is Dave.  Call my dad, he has his number.  My dads cell is 218-428-5436
