won't let me post in the area where this subject started .yea had a fun weekend with the suckers. A few hundred came up on sat. (that we seen) lots of fun on a ultra lite. was hoping to get out tonite a little but don't look like it's going to happen being made of sugar and all. Might sneek out for a couple of casts though.

I fixed that other forum.  Since moving to this bigger internet area, just getting things finished.  Should be better than before.

Very cool.  I would like to give them suckers a try.  I have caught them on light tackle before and loved it.  Where we grew up we had good sucker runs and caught a bunch on fishing rods.  So do you ever spear them?  I have some good waders and would like to give that a try.

no i don't spear them i really don't have much use for them. just snag and let them go. anytime you want to go it's just down the strret from you really, get on raleigh st. turn down 58th there is a little parking spot at the bottom. i live in the brown house at the bottom. the suckers are up and down the river. it's a good way to kill time and have some fun.

I'll be down this week.  Are  you snagging em or using crawlers?  I have used crawlers before and it's fun, touchy bites but great action on light gear.

Looking through old posts, I came across this one. Does anyone else on here go after suckers? Do you keep any for smoking?
