Doug I do not think it is legal to snag any fish.........Check out page 8 of the regs.  Lee can tell you the fine for snagging suckers and carp. I think you need to edit some of the posts.

Are they suckers or red-horse.  They are great smoked or canned.  If these are river fish, bottom feeders, in the back bays, mmaybe fun to catch I would not eat them...
