Yeah, sounds like a great area.
Do we want to do a multi-species two day tournament? or a Bass tournament one day - Pike tournament -- Walleye tournament?
I know Mille lacs is close-- about 7 Miles (guessing)
I don't want to plan a day on the "big pond" if the wind conditions are unfavorable and I can't get my boat on the lake.
Need some input ---
My thought is to find a couple good lakes in the area and do a multi-species two day tournament. Go by total length and a point system. The first day of the event you fish with your partner in the tournament. For the second day we make a big change- I did this for golf tournaments. The drivers of the boat remain the same--- but you switch partners. It seems like it may be confusing, but its really simple.
For example: Boat 1 on day one comes back with 15 pts. Driver 1 and Passenger 1 have 15 pts
D/2-P/2 = 10
DB/3-P/3 = 20
On Day two Driver 1 fishes with Passenger 2 they get 10 pts for the Day
On Day two Driver 2 fishes with Passenger 3 they get 20 pts for the Day
On Day two Driver 3 fishes with Passenger 1 they get 15 pts for the Day
Totals For the Two days Would be:
Boat 1 Day 1 total = 15 Pts Day 2 Driver 1 (10pts) + passenger1 (15 pts) = 40 pts
Boat 2 Day 1 total = 10 Pts Day 2 Driver 2 (20pts) + passenger 2 (10 pts) =40 pts
Boat 3 Day 1 total = 20 Pts Day 2 Driver 3 (15 pts) + passenger 3 (20 pts) = 55 pts
Or you can fish with your same partner for the two days--- Just thought I would throw a suggestion out there for use to fish with other people.
Let me know give me some ideas . I can call and book the cabin for the weekend. I have written it on the calander and will not make any other plans.
