New Sponser...

I have found a new sponser for both the MMTS/DABL

The Gopher Lounge has agreed to sponser both leagues this year. I am working out the details for prizes and such.

The best thing is that have agreed to let us use their meeting room free of charge (no waiter staff).  I was tired of having to conduct a meeting around a small island table at Mr. "D",s.

What I have worked out with Paul and Kelly (gen Mangers) is the use of the meeting room for our meetings. I also asked about nights after fishing the river. they were reseseptive to the idea of drink prices, Their kitchen closes at 9:00pm but they make darn good pizzias and Kelly told me that if we let them know what and how many we wanted,  they would make them up fresh and keep them warm until we arrived. at a good price.

They have plenty of parking. Mondays are one of their slow nights so any bussiness that we give them would be thanked in kind.

I know a few people were working with a bar in Proctor, but time is getting short and the we had a hard time doing things with only the islands for tables.

For DABL, if this does meet with your approval, let me know.  They only  requirement is that we let them know our meeting dates as soon as possible so they do not sceduale the room for something else.

The Gopher is located on Central Ave, about one block behind Mr D,  Since they have a new owner, they have gone back to the old ways with a good kitchen and the clients are more older. If you are out that way, stop in and see if Paul or Kelly are around and say Hi and tell them you are with the Monday night fishing league.

Want to thank Lee (The Long Rods) for giving the contact.

Great news! If they give free drinks to the winners, I might try this year!

Hey Load,  We only use the small round tables at Mr. D's when we don't expect a lot of people.  Otherwise they gave us the back room and waiter staff for free.

Since don't really go down to either on a league night, I don't see a problem.  Sounds like a good thing.  Whats the deal on the drinks?  Keep us posted on what you work out with them.

Great job Prez..

It seemed that most times we were around the small table even when we were trying to clloect money. The only time we used the big room was the last mmeeting. Either way we are going to the Gopher.  Besides there are more good looking Mature ladies at the Gopher than at Mr D's.  We will see how it works out.
