Biosonix fish attractor/activator - What do you think?

Hey what do you think of the new gadget?  I wish it was more affordable, I'ld have one.  I love the technology and fishing.  Both in one place, gotta love that.  I don't think it is going to change fishing any more than the flasher, underwater camera or digital Color-C-Lector.  Each offerred us more information about the fish's environment, but none guarantee a bite or make it so easy that anyone can catch every fish they see.  I think it needs to be seen what effect this will have, but I would like to try it out.

You can read about it at:  http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/sports/12269893.htm

Then let us know what you think about it or all the new technology for fishing?

Can NEVER have enough gadgets. When Ouitdee and I started out with canoe, then 14" and now the lund I don't think it was for wanting a new boat it was trying to find a place to scarry everything..  What I am wondering is where will the boat and motor size end up? Just think a couple of years ago if you had a 16' fishing boat you must be a pro. I know you see them but how many 14" boats do you see anywhere.. With the new sound attractors, why not just  put       the unit in the water and then drop the net and let the fish swim into it ,save on bait.>>>later the load

I want one of these for ice fishing.  But in the back of my mind I keep thinking, what if this is the sound that makes the ice weaker and enough anglers with one and like the trucks on ice, the right vibration and the ice loses its strength.  Now that would not be a good day.  And all those hungry fish under the ice too..   ha ha..

Honestly I can't wait until I can afford one of these toys for my fishing.  I will have it.  When I pass your house the lights will dim from the power surge..   Yeahhhhhhhh, that's Tenacious D passing the house kids, stand back from anything electronic, it could blow...

What's next?   Pretty soon you'll be able to go to a lake.....not even drop your boat in.....just choose the type of fish you want to attract.....drop your attractor box in the water......wait for them to come......then net 'em.

Obviously that is a bit of an exaggeration.....but I'm surprised none of you think it's unsportmanlike.  Instead of describing it as "Biosonix fish attractor/activator".........how does it sound if I told you....."hey wanna go fishing?  We'll just head up river drop a gadget that tricks the fish into coming near the boat....then catch 'em."  Wow........how rugged of you.  Doug....I figured you'd be the first guy to say it's going a bit too far.

The next issue is competition........wait until this thing comes up in competitive circles......Can you use them?  Is it sportmanlike?

I'm not taking anything away from you guys as fisherpeople.....but what does it say about your fishing abilities when you can't wait to spend X amount of dollars on a gadget that essentially calls fish to your lure?

I'd say it says you're not too confident in your ability to catch fish the old fashioned way.

Old fashioned would be not having a sonar.  I can't imagine what fishing was like with out them.  Now with the GPS units, you get right on the same spot you were on last week.  Then we got cameras.  My pops has one, and I like to use it.  Sometimes I do think it's a bit to far.  Not only does it show fish, but you can see what the fish are relating to, like submerged brush, vegetation, etc.  I think using a camera enchances your overall fishing experience by learning what is actually taking place down there, underwater.

This fish attractor gadget is no different than any other electronic piece out there now.  You still have to catch them using a pole and line.    Cameras are a good example, you can see fish down there, but the trick is to get them to bite.  I learned my lesson on fish lake this past fall when the crappies were stacked tight to wood.  We thru everything at them, and didn't catch any, even though we knew they were down there

Remember that with every knew gadget, no matter good it is, you still have to get the fish to bite your hook.  I don't think there is anything out there that makes fish bite your bait, they just make your chances of catching one better...
