I saw this press release and it mentions Scott Witkop from Duluth.  Does anyone know who this is?

G3 Boats Launches National Walleye Fishing Team.

(March 13, 2006 - Lebanon, Missouri)… A select group of exceptional walleye anglers were recently chosen by G3 Boats to represent the company during the 2006 angling season. The seven individuals were hand-picked after extensive research from a field of hundreds. All are veteran tournament anglers and each person brings a wealth of fishing knowledge to the team. These anglers represent a wide range of walleye angling strategies, techniques and experiences, from deep jigging specialists to masters of rough water trolling, the depth of this team is certain to provide a winning platform. Everyone brings a unique walleye angling perspective that only their home waters can provide. G3 welcomes the following anglers to the newly formed national team.

Steve Monda of Brainerd, MN. (Avid tournament angler with multiple money finishes)

Captain Nate Provost of Gulliver, MI. (Multiple PWT Championship qualifier)

Jerry Ruffolo of Manitowoc, WI. (Four-time RCL Championship qualifier)

Jeff Ryan of Lake View, IA. (Top ten 2005 FLW Championship finisher)

Jonathan Shoemaker of Elyria, OH. (Six year veteran of the Walleye Tour)

Scott Witkop of Duluth, MN. (35 year veteran walleye angler)

Lamarr Van Dame of Fargo, ND. (Pro Team Manager and multiple money finisher)

Roger Bills, Marketing director for G3 boats said; “We are proud to have these individuals on our team and we wish them the very best of luck with the upcoming season”.

These professional anglers will be competing in a variety of national tournaments and will represent G3 Boats at various events around the country. Each team member will be running a 2006 Angler V185 F with a Yamaha 200 HP engine.

G3 Boats is a Yamaha-owned boat company and manufactures over 100 models of aluminum fishing boats and pontoons at their location in Lebanon, Missouri.

Very interesting.  No never heard of Scott Witkop and I fish a lot of tournaments and recognize a lot of names around here, in and out of our fishing leagues.  Still a very cool accomplishment to make a national fishing team.

Hey Sully are you going to be fishing the Red Wing Area on April 8th weekend?  Several of us will be down there.

I don't recognize any name on that list....... but then again I don't follow the tournament trail that closely, just some of the PWT shows on TV.
