Quick question, looking for as many opinions as possible...  If a person had to pick one local/semi-local body of water (1-11/2 hour drive max) to fish for fall walleyes, where would you go?  As time is winding down, each fishing trip gets a little bit more precious so I would like to maximize either quantity or quality.  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Mille Lacs.  Drive fast and it will be within your time range.

We should have gone today.  Beautiful and I bet the fish are biting.  It's going to rain the next couple days, want to get out for some muskies?  I can put the canvas on and we can fish without getting to wet.

What do you two think?  Up for some fall muskies?

We could even jig for a few walleyes while out there.  Or 3 way rig one.  I love to do that at this time of year.  Big Walleyes that way...  And no one does it here..

I do have plans for the upcoming weekends.  This weekend I am heading to the Brainerd area muskie fishing, and next weekend I am camping with some buddies on the St. Louis and am going to be muskie fishing all weekend.

This coming week, Wednesday is the only day I have nothing going on.  Does that work for you?  Otherwise I think I am free most of the following week, and for sure the Wednesday through Friday of that next week.  Let me know what your schedule looks like and we will for sure get something planned and get out muskie fishing together.  We need to just pick a time and get it on the books, to make sure we get out there this year.
