Bassfishingnerd that was a great post about the bluegill,bullhead I never put that together till your post. That pattern has held true on many lakes

Most of the lakes that I fish that have high populations of bullheads are stained water and and thats why i used the darker colors.

Thanks!

I actually put this all together by using the fishing log software that I have been developing and looking at the data trends on colors, catch ratios, and things I have observed when out fishing these lakes.  Now if I could just dial in the lakes with tulibee and smaller baitfish, I will be in tall cotton! ;)

Tulibee I fish two lakes with them in it both of these lakes and the main forage base is perch,crawdads and minnows,now you got me thinking?And now I really wish this ice would leave.

Perch, now that's an interesting one.  I have found that chartruese/orange lures work, when perch is the "main" forage in a lake.  I have one of those lakes in my area. :)

I know that I use chartruese/orange and have done great on some waters.  We have a lot of waters around here with perch.
