One of my accounts said she was catching smallies on the river the other day,so i took my son out for couple hours tonite. what a blast 1 an half hours we caught 20 to 25 fish and the sad part was my son out fished me. lol he had a litlle spot on the edge of the current wham every 2 mins. every time i got a little close to it i'd get the "DAD" so i ate a little ego. He said that was the best time fishing he's had in his short career. and his arms were tired from catching those litttle bruisers. Now if i can only get him to take the fish off himself I'll have some time to maybe regain my title.

That's awesome. I know that just above Cloquet has some awesome smallie fishing, and pretty much anywhere on the river there. That's a good time. You'll get the title back as he learns to handle the fish a little more. But the investment in getting your son hooked on fishing is all worth it.
I am taking someone out fishing this afternoon and probably looking for crappies and who knows. I know we'll catch a bunch of fish, but it's a nice day, so what better way to spend the time.
