Nothing like a tasty bass.  Anyone have a recipe for them?  The small ones especially.  Smoke the big ones, but need a lot of paper.

Funny man.  I don't know why, but I have had several people talk about eating bass.  I really catch enough walleyes and crappies that I would prefer them to bass.  Besides bass give such a great fight and aren't every where like the crappies and eyes are.

Welcome aboard DaahBass.

Hey DaahBass you might not get many responses to that one.  You are the minority when it comes to eating bass.  Bass?  Dude...eat northern before bass....they're just as easy if not easier to catch and taste waaaaay better.  Plus you get more meat.  Leave those bass for the buzzards.  Your choice though.......wish I could give you a recipe.....my suggestion is to put on a spinnerbait and grab a pike or two.  If you need help cleaning....check this out.

I don't normally admit it, but I have eaten more northern than bass.  Can't even remember eating any bass, but pike were ok when I had them.

Thanks for the how to fillet them.  I have done it and after chopping up plenty, I finally figured it out.  But haven't done one for a while now.

Another way to do northerns is to pickle them.  I know my mom had a great recipe for that.  I have that if you want that Daah Bass?

Hmmm, Bass are for catching and releasing so they can fight another day. I like to think of it in terms that someday some kid's gonna catch the bass I release today and truly enjoy the experience and the awesome fight. Bass are to be respected, not eaten!

But if you just have to eat the Bass, then I'm gonna say a little prayer to the Bass Gods and ask them to make sure you choke on a bone!
