I heard that there was a 25 pound largemouth pulled out of a southern california lake. The contraversy is that it wasn't wieghed on an official scale and it was soposedly "fawl hooked"

Sounds like a great fish, but if either one is true, this will never be an official record.  If it was kept and frozen, they can weight it, but if it was foul hooked, forget a record. 

Wow, I would love to catch a bass like that.  Thanks for the report, did you see it anyway online or in a paper?  It would be great to see more of that info.
