We have seen a lot of muskies and several guys boat dozens each year.  I haven't caught that many on the river.  But I have seen upto 9 muskies in a day, including a few BIG boys, had to be in their 50's.

There are several types of trolling for the muskies.  Some just troll very slow with a sucker rig near surface.  Others pull big cranks and stick baits in the channel and all the way from the harbor to the 23 bridge.  Yes there are spots that work better than others and as for depths, I think the deeper areas are best.  Weed edges for sure.  Some spots you have to really cast to work.  So it's all about getting in front of the muskies without being full of weeds the entire time.  If you want to get out and try it some time, we sometimes have room in the boat and want to get more rods in the water any way.

Gonna try dragging suckers on the river here soon, real soon.  I will definitely  take you up on that opportunity to fish the river with your crew.

I've never been up towards the 23 bridge or the dam.  Tried this year and got treacherous up there.  Gonna hit off Clough Isle tonight.  Let you know how we do.  By the way...brother in law caught 2 near the Nemadji River 2 nights ago.  Not sure of size.

We can show you how to get up the river, but it's dangerous no matter what.

We do have a bunch of our teams out fishing in the Classic, and it's an open event if you want to come on out and fish with us.  It will be fun and you'll see what kinda of fish the river has to offer.  You can also come by our end of year party if  you want to.

We will be trolling for muskies shortly.  You'll have to check it out.

Hit the river yesterday(Sunday) and Friday.  Missed one both days.  West end of Clough Island.  Tried trolling and caught a pike but no muskies.  Crowded out there yesterday.  We'll have to figure out a day to get together so I can fish with your group.

Yeah that would be fun.  We'll be out fishing this Sunday from Garfield Ave Ramp.  We're running a multispecies fishing contest from 9 - 3pm, $30/ team.  We're also having bass, walleye and pike pots too.  So if you want to fish in it, you are welcome.

Keep up the good fishing.
