id like to see a few more nights i cant get enough of this league

also i think with the yearly points standing we should bump up to one point every .16 instead of going up to hunundred because the way it is right now really isnt accurate.  if you and another team were tied and you wieghed in a 15 ounce fish and they wieghed in a 1 lb fish then over all in points they would be .85 points ahead of you instead of the only one ounce difference. see where im coming from there?

I know I can speak for the other two guys on our team (3-B) when I say we had a great time fishing the league this year.  If you didn't change a thing it would still be a good time.  Any excuse to get out on the water is good!  The more events to fish the more opportunities to get out on the water and catch fish........hopefully

See ya on the river...

I agree it was great job done.Maybe have a night where we mix up the teams,it may help us learn or teach a few tricks,At the end of year party we could talk together about next years schedule.how about a big fish trophy?A day event for 1 big fish only.

bassin'Assassin,
That was my mistake and was adding the points wrong when displaying it on the web site.  I probably should clarify that "points" were supposed to be the "decimal" - numbered value in pounds.   For example 1lb 15oz would be 1.9375 pounds in which I would convert to points.  Either way you can look at like 1.9375 pounds or points.  On the results page I wasn't converting the ounces to a decimal point value, I was just adding the ounces together.  I think of it as points because of the possible bonus points you can get for having multi-species or the largemouth on the river.  Those bonus points aren't really pounds (you could think of that way too), but they are just added points.

On the results pages, I fixed this problem with the code and should be correct now.  I show the points view and pounds/ounces conversion for that number.  Every ounce is about .0625 points for techies out there :)  Sorry for the confusion there.  It didn't really changed any positions, but it did bring some teams closer together in points though.

Keep the suggestions coming!

I think we are going to have several GOOD problems.

Problem 1:  we have more than 15 interested teams, and I for one would like to get them on the water.  Which leads to...

Problem 2:  We do not want to take out DNR permits.  Splitting would be a solution.  But HOW?

Problem 3:  We have teams that want more nights but there are other teams that want to fish that can't make a big commitment of 10 nights or more.  That ties up the summer pretty solid.  Us hard cores fish anyway and would love to continue to do it, so how do we do that and still get these other anglers involved in a league or fishing more?

One possible solution would be for us to offer people the choice of fishing the full league OR one of two smaller groups running 5 nights each, alternating Thursdays.  Like one group on Duluth waters that starts the first Thursday and another group on Cloquet waters that starts the second Thursday, and so on.

This would let those teams that want to fish but can't fish 10 or more nights do it AND let us hard cores fish all the bass events.

I think we should have trophies per Area and for the League Champions, plus the event winners (that was fun).

What do people think?  I think there are more teams that would give league fishing a try, with an easier 5 week commitment.  This would be a win-win for the hard cores, the new comers, and the sponsors.

Just my thoughts and the Multispecies group will be looking at the same thing this year.  I think this would solve the growing pains issues and get more anglers involved.  Hey I want to get as good as I can, and I want to fish against all the top anglers in this area, that's why I am in it.  Plus I love just getting out and going for it.  I think others would too.

We will have to setup a fishing meeting soon to decide what to do and pick schedules.
