Al,

Do you do much tackle purchasing online?  I am one of those who likes to see the stuff and beforehand, and was wondering if you have had pretty good luck with the stuff that you buy online, and does a guy have to do the legwork in the stores beforehand and know exactly brand, size, etc. of what he wants and then go and search it online... Or, have you had pretty good luck buying things sight unseen online?

Yes I do most of my buying online but it is hard to do all the shopping at 1 store to get the best possible price.I to like to see it before I buy.I have driven to different stores just to check out different baits. I also have bought baits that Ive never had a hand on with good luck .I also ordrer every catologe that I can for a visual.

There are many different places selling baits most of the stuff is all the same just a different prices. Most of the garbage baits I have bought have been on E-bay from people pouring there own softplastics!

I can vouch for that.  All the bad baits I have bought too were from Ebay and people pouring their own.  I have had good luck from bigger more established tackle companies.  There are a handful of places you can buy high quality plastic baits on line.  And at a decent price.  No one is really selling them cheap, so its about finding the stuff you want.

Twitch sure has a lot of tackle, he should be able to find most any bait you're looking for.

Good to know.  I see all sorts of tackle online, and I have only bought a few things here and there.  That was a really good idea about the catalogs Twitch.  I know when I get the Cabela's Master Fishing Catalog (which just arrived) it is like Christmas time when I was a kid and the Sears and JC Penny's catalogs with the toys would arrive  Any suggestions other than the ones you mentioned, to check out as far as ordering catalogs?
