Doug caught them and then some! Simply outstanding performance. 18+ pounds.....wow!
It was hot and the bite was a little slow. Jeremiah and I didn't have a keeper in the boat until 1230.....I'm glad we had six hours. We did catch a pile of shorts though...probably 20+ and a bunch of those were 13.5" or so. Our key bite was on weed edges with some current in 4-6fow throwing texas rigged smallie beavers. As slow as it was, we did have an exciting double to fill out our limit. We only caught 6 keepers all day.
Jeremiah caught a 31.5" pike. What a fight...super fun to watch and really cool to see the look on his face when we finally netted it. I'll e-mail Roger a pic once I finally download them off my son's camera so he can post it.
