Doug even though I pick on you constantly in the boat I'd like to say thanks for partnering up with me again this season and for keeping DABL on the web with out Fishing Webmaster we wouldnt be seen by potential league members and others.
You're Welcome, and Thanks for teaching me tons about bass. You're really great to fish with. A little intense sometimes, but then ask my fishing partners, I have been known to get that way too. I've had a blast and learned a ton. I know there's more to learn, but even on Fish Lake it was amazing to see how you put together that bite and fish, from 12 yr old spots, and I am sure you'ld have caught another 18 incher, had Hawg Hammer not picked em off.
Hats off to Hawg Hammer too, for really putting it together. Mike put in lots of hard work and found fish. Plus I love to see someone fishing with their kids. They surely have caught the bug to fish and enjoy it. I admire that. Great job all around.
I think many teams really stepped it up this year. High Sticking, wow that Island Lake start was awesome and then consistently putting fish in the boat. You're right you had a lot of fish all year. Great job.
Fishing Webmaster has always stated we'ld help get fishing online, especially our leagues. That will always be true. Anyone wanting to learn how to make the updates, I'll teach them, just let me know. You only need a high speed internet connection.
Thanks Al, Thanks Everyone. See ya at the party and fishing some place on the water next year.
Thanks for the kind words guys. The boys and I really enjoyed our time on the water both preparing for and during the tournaments. I'll admit to making a few educated guesses and getting lucky once or twice out there. I have a long way to go in learning these waters (lower St Louis River for one) and getting onto the fish quicker. Making adjustments came a little easier this year but I was learning something everytime out. I hope that never ends. Particularly on Island Lake Res and Fish Lake. I learned a bucket load about Chub Lake this year too just fishing pannies and high noon froggin'. I have been really impressed with you guys and the seemingly endless parade of 17lb stringers at these events. Wow is an understatement, although my personal goal is to bring in a 20# sack. I think it will come on the River or on Fish Lake.
I'm looking forward to next year and the continued high level of competition and comraderie. I'll toss my name in the ring as a board member for next season. I think I enjoyed the after weigh in conversations with the light of day fading....It was fun watching Ouitdee abuse his beer (kick it over) and attempt to not burn the brats at the same time. See you guys at the BBQ.
