Thanks to help from the FlyMaster and Loadmaster, I finally got out for some Tullibee fishing. It was great. To see how we did, just go to our photo gallery by clicking here.
Tullie fishing is a blast, especially on light line, like my 2 pound test. We used very small jigs and a single maggot to get bit, but the trick was to watch for the rod tip to load up. When it did you needed to be ready, to do that you need a great sonar. It was a great experience and we even got sun on the ice. I hope you give it a try to.
I also went online and found agreat recipe. I know I baked a couple and wow, they were good. I filleted them, but be sure to take out the lateral line. I'll post the recipe on a separate post.
Good fishing and a great way to keep the jigging touch ready.
The Loadmaster found a good site about tulibee fishing.
