Here's a great recipe for whitefish and tullibee. I noted some changes I tried and liked.
Baked Whitefish Recipe Ingredients• 4 whitefish fillets (can substitute Tullibee fillets)• 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated• 1 cup bread crumbs (cracker crumbs can be substituted)• 1 tablespoon black pepper (level or less)
PreparationPreheat oven to 350F. Mix together dry ingredients and pour into zip-lock bag. Rinse whitefish fillets and pat dry. Add fillets to bag and shake to coat. Place on cookie sheet (can cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
I bet this will work for lots of other fish too.
Great fishing and better tasting fillets. I know I want a few more tullies for the oven now.

I tried your recipe last night it turned out great!
I opened the foil for the last few mins to firm up the tops of the fillets.
Cool. I know I loved it. I think it's a good thing to switch up on the cooking a little here and there. It keeps the kids eating fish and then they want me to get more. Not a bad thing..
I hope Tom Linderholm of the Aquaholics stops by and shares a few of his great recipes. He's a top chef in town.
Do you guys catch alot of tullibee up that way in the winter/summer? We used to go to Mille Lacs and get them, but there just isn't that many around anymore. My family loved smoke Tullibee, but I can't find them anymore.

Hey the Loadmaster and Flymaster have a good bite on Big Sandy Lake. It's an ice bite and a ton of fun. Tiny crappie jigs with waxies on light line. You drop the waxie and then a big arch appears and races up to it. They circle and fight. But catching 4-5 pound tullies thru the ice is awesome. We have a few pictures in the gallery of a day on Big Sandy, a couple years ago.
If it is on, it's well worth making the drive, the action is great. You catch some crappies, pike, perch and other fish too.
