Night 7 - we pulled Caribou Lake out of the hat and out of our history books, since it's been a few years since we were here last.  For a change we had good weather and an ok bite.  With the luck of the draw picking a second lake that had just been spot poisoned for weeds and tha does slow a bite on those docks.

The winners tonight was Team Choppers, Brent Selden and Ben Biermaier, with a great 5 species, 4 limits, and all from a small area, that they worked over very well.  They had four limits including largemouth bass, northern pike, crappies and bluegills, along with a perch.  Amazing job guys. I think they are back on the run now.

Second went to the Team TGIF, Rick Olson and Doug Pirila, with another 5 species bag including limits of bluegills and largemouth bass, plus some rock bass, crappies and northern.  Third went to Team Long Rods, Lee Carson and Ouitdee Carson, with a 4 species bag including limits of crappies and northern pike, plus some largemouth bass and bluegills.

The winner of the Big Fish of the Night, with a 17 inch largemouth bass was Team Choppers.  The Big Fish winners got $10 certificates and great travel cups from the Patrick Cooke Agency of Farmer's Insurance, Cloquet.

Caribou Lake was a good lake and the residents were great. I heard some took pictures of teams too. Thanks.Minnesota Multispecies Fishing Tournament and Fishing League Staff

The winner of the Big Fish of the Night, with a 24 inch northern pike as Team Patience.  The Big Fish winners got $10 certificates and great travel cups from the Patrick Cooke Agency of Farmer's Insurance, Cloquet.

Sand Lake was good to us, considering this is the first time fished by multispecies and it was new to many teams.  We did have a visiting team that fished and out scored our teams.  Thanks John and Skeeter, we hope you had a good time and consider coming out to more to see how you do.  Great job to all teams for keeping it fun and catching lots of fish again.

Night 5 found us on the St. Louis River out of the Garfield landing.  The winner tonight was Team TGIF of Rick Olson and Doug Pirila with a 4 species, 4 limits bag.  They limited out on perch, rock bass, crappies and bluegills.  Great job guys.
